Industry Expertise Overview |
The roots of Prater-Sterling are firmly grounded in the feed industry. Though its equipment's uses and purposes have spread over many industries over the last 80 years, Prater-Sterling feed equipment was their sole production effort. Beginning with a small hammer mill, Prater-Sterling began supplying feed machinery to the industry in 1925 and quickly grew to become the trade standard. Following the initial hammer mill, Prater continued to augment the design producing many different prototypes. To this day, the hammer mill is still a prevalent aspect of feed equipment. With the hammer mill's ability to uniformly grind and operate 24 hours a day, it is no wonder why it has remained a stellar example of feed machinery over the years.
Thought the industry needs have grown since 1925, demanding various types of feed machinery, the gold standard by which Prater-Sterling produces its feed equipment has remained the same. With a customer profile including Cargill and Central Soya, the consistency and permanence of Prater-Sterling feed machinery is evident. Though the old adage says, "If it isn't broke, don't fix it," Prater-Sterling has successfully adapted and improved their feed equipment since its premier in 1925. Though the industry may change and other feed machinery suppliers may come and go, Prater-Sterling will remain the paragon of feed equipment manufacturers.
